Clinical and academic background
Dr. Desai practiced emergency medicine for nearly two decades at a Level 1 trauma center in New York City, including at Lenox Hill Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. She served as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College for more than eight years, and as Emergency Ultrasound Director at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where she directed the emergency ultrasound fellowship and taught medical students, residents, and fellows. She has published peer-reviewed research in her field.
She began practicing longevity medicine in 2017 and founded Longevity Place, a concierge longevity clinic in New York. She founded Sumero Health to bring the same model to people who cannot reach a concierge clinic.
